Hi all. Whenever I used to rebuild my cache, it took about a minute or so (sometimes faster), but now it just sits there forever. If I am installing software that includes a kext cache rebuild, that install takes 10min+ extra. I used to solve this by deleting the kernel cache in single user mode, changing the smbios to another machine and restarting with -f. I was then usually able to rebuild the cache in decent time. NOTE: My computer still goes through a non-kext-cache startup, even though UseKextCache=Yes is in the boot.plist!!!
Any help appreciated (I am yet to try the commandline options, and don't know whether or not to use -system-prelinked-kernel or not. Once again, any help greatly appreciated!
