I'm a student and I like to code, use Photoshop, video edit, and in the future make 3d renderings, make android apps and play games.
I currently have a MB Air '11 from 2010. It's nice for web browsing, but when I'm using photoshop, any IDE for codding, or video editors, it's really slow.
Why I'm not sure about a hackintosh: I wan't to build an hackintosh because I feel like I could get more power for the dollar. I'm pretty tech inept, but I don't wan't to come across any incompatible software, etc.
Why I'm not sure about a MB Pro: I don't think an entry level MBP will perform how I want it to for 2-3 years. Whereas with a hackintosh, I could add new parts.
My biggest uncertainty is how much power I need for 3d renderings, make android apps, and playing games.
