Posting this here because I am not getting anything from Tonymacx86...

  • Intel i5 3570k
  • Asus P8Z77m-pro
  • MSI GT 660
  • 250GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD (OSX)
  • 250GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD (Windows 7)
  • 1TB HDD (storage)
  • OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
  • On-board LAN is Realtek 8111F
  • WiFi is PCIe TD-link 3800

I have an hackintosh build that is a couple of years old now. Generally it works better than my Late 2013 iMac which is part of the reason I am still messing around with it. My only outstanding issue that I cannot figure out is Wake on Demand (WOD). It doesn't work. Wake on LAN (WOL) works and I can wake the sleeping Hackintosh if I send a WOL request from the router. I have an Apple TV (ATV3) on the network which should be acting as the "Bonjour Sleep Proxy" and apparently it is working because WOD works great on the iMac. I am having trouble finding help because it sounds like with Yosemite Apple switched from mDNSResponder to DiscoveryD or something and there isn't much out there on it.

I have tried all the NIC options in MultiBeast:

  • AppleRTL8169Ethernet doesn't. work. at. all.
  • RealtekRTL81xx the NIC works but WOL and WOD do not.
  • RealtekRTL8111 the NIC and WOL work but WOD does not.

I have removed NullCPUPowerManagement and tried Patched Apple Intel Power Management yet but it still doesn't work.

Any Ideas?
