Gonna see how the 4600 handles Metal before ordering the graphics card; leaning towards a 4GB eVGA GTX-960 SSC . . .
Plan is to install Windows 10 on a HD, to make sure the build is good, then unplug that and do the clover thing with my Yosemite USB key. If & when that is working, then go for El Cap (!)
I've built a PII, PIII, P4, and Core2Duo in my day, but that was before newegg --seeing all the negative reviews is a real confidence killer, LOL -- so now I'm super nervous.
Was going to go for a $90 mATX, the GA-Z97M-DS3H but the extra 3.0 and x1 slots, and better power design and build quality of the UD3H-BK is worth the ~$40 more.
It's going in an old ATX case anyway, so board size didn't matter. But the minimality of the mATX board was attractive for a while . . .
