Just finished my Hackintosh. Went through the Tonymacx86 guide from start to finish. Everything worked successfully after some quick Google searches and some experimenting. Processor overclocked and stable at 4.5 GHz.

I had to run the system with integrated graphics first, install the appropriate kexts through Multibeast, install the appropriate nVidia web driver (version 346.01.02f04), and then install my 980. 4K supported and works like a charm. Make sure you flash the BIOS to the latest version. My mobo came with a really out-of-date version of the BIOS. Gave me much more stability.

Multibeast Installed:

DSDT Free Install

ALC1150 Audio

Intel AppleIntelE1000e v.3.1.0a (which works oddly enough, the AppleIGB kext doesn't work even though the motherboard has an I218-V ethernet chipset)

10.10.3 TRIM Patch (for my 840 Evo)

Everything works! Ethernet and audio work perfectly (audio passthrough works with my BlackWidow Chroma) along with all of my peripherals. All programs function perfectly. Went with a smaller mini ITX build to give myself more space by my desk. I use it for gaming and as a primary desktop to do work with. An incredibly quick computer, loads up Yosemite in a matter of seconds.

Note that the 1050 watt power supply is probably too much; this is what I used because I was able to salvage this part from another build that I ended up scraping.

Thanks for viewing!
