I've installed Mavericks 10.9 on an AMD-based computer. I have an unused FAT32 partition on the same drive but no other OS has been installed so it's not the typical clock issue that many users run into. It's also not necessarily a problem dealing with time zones. Both the hours and minutes jump around with no apparent pattern.
For example, it is Sat 10:55 PM right now and my clock displays 6:02 AM. I click on the clock and it immediately jumps to Fri 7:36 AM. Oh - it just changed to 5:50 AM. Now it's at 12:28.
I have 'Set date and time automatically:' turned on. I've also selected an alternate time server. The hands literally move around without me doing anything.
