So I bought another SSD and installed Yosemite on it. I unplugged the other SSD that had mavericks and everything on the install went really well. Except I go to shut down the computer and I still have the same problem I've had since upgrading to 10.8.2 I believe. The computer looks shut down from the monitors perspective but the actual machine is still spinning the fans and lit up. I have searched for a long time and had really hoped that installing Yosemite would fix this. It has not.
If anyone has a fix for this I would be so happy. Even if that fix is simply "buy a new mobo" I wouldn't mind.
My hardware: Z77x - UD5h Mobo, 660 Ti GFX, 16gb ram, intel 5 chip.
