So let's say that before I did anything else I use a virtualization software like Virtualbox and successfully virtualized a build of OSX (lets say Mavericks) on my computer. I do it, and it works great and everything is compatible and functioning properly. Would this be enough testing to conclude that everything would still be compatible if I were to make a hackintosh and install the OS to the computer? Why or why not? Are there things that virtualization software does behind the scenes?
