Long story short... Lenovo Ideapad Z580, i7-3520M, 8gb ram, trying to install Yosemite to a brand new Crucial 256gb ssd.
I let the installer run it's course, and it failed at the very last stretch because it couldn't "change the current startup disk." I figured this was alright, and that the OS had already installed properly. I can restart into the installed Yosemite, but using -v I see that it hangs on "Current TSC from rdtsc64() is xxxxxxxxx. Rendezvousing..." It hangs here every time, both with -x and -s.
I have tried booting with a flag I saw somewhere online, TSC_sync_margin=0. That didn't work. I have also tried putting VoodooTSCSync.kext in my 10.10 folder in Clover, and I still get this same error. Any thoughts?
