I've just last week discovered that 'hackintosh's' are a thing and I'd like to know whether this is possible. I was going to purchase a gaming PC in the coming months, as well as a macbook for use of the program Logic X, but I was curious as to whether I could just dual boot OS X on to the gaming PC. I'm not 100% on how this all works but I'm thinking you have to have hardware that OSX has the drivers for, which means that the processor most likely wont be a problem but the graphics card will? I'm looking at getting a 970 but could it be configured for the mac boot to ignore the graphics card and just run the on board graphics instead?
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated as I really don't know a lot about all this. Thanks
