I've got yosemite installed with a 3 monitor setup. 2 DVI and 1 HDMI on a single card. Everything was groovy for a couple months but when I woke up the machine in the morning on friday, my center monitor stopped working on the dvi port. Fussed around a bit and couldn't get it back up. The weird thing is, it works during boot up and through the loading screen and doesn't stop functioning till it gets to the desktop. I ended up switching the hdmi and the non functional dvi cables and had all 3 monitors back up. Fired it back up this morning and now my I have another dead dvi port. A friend had this happen to his rig too (same video card different motherboard) but only the one instance so far. Can it possibly be a bad batch of video cards?
