RestartingAudioProcessor due to buffer error

"RestartingAudioProcessor due to buffer error"

I get this message in Console about every ten minutes. It is accompanied by the audio stuttering for a few seconds.

I am using an app called BOOM2 downloaded from the Apple App store to enhance my audio. However, I will get this message and stuttering whether the app is enabled or disabled. I am running audio out from the rear stereo (green) connector on the back of my mother board to a small amp and then into a pair of bookshelf speakers.

Is there way to increase the buffer to alleviate this issue?
