My graphics card seems to be on the fritz, and I've narrowed it down to the memory. I'm taking it to the store, but I imagine they might want to test it, so I could be without it for a couple of days.
I'm running Yosemite 10.10.5 on a Clover install. The system consists of a Sabertooth Z97 MkII, Intel i5 4690K, and a MSI NVIDIA 760 TF. I dual boot to Win 8.1 to play games, and that's when the problems come up (drivers crash, or a instant reboot).
Are there any possible issues from simply removing the GPU and connecting the monitor to the motherboard for integrated graphics? Are there any settings I should modify before removing it?
I realise this may sound simple enough to test, but my monitor only has a DVI connector, while the motherboard has DisplayPort and HDMI, and I don't have an adapter.
