Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of upgrading the video card in my Hackintosh which is currently an XFX 6870. I understand that NVIDIA is the way to go these days so I'm looking at a GTX 970 or GTX 980.
I know that these cards are well supported in OS X but I'm having trouble finding out about the ports and how many can be used simultaneously. I'm hoping to have all five operating. On the 6870 I could only ever get three (dual-link DVI and 2x mini DP) going at once, but now I want to put together setups that can run multiple HD projectors. How many could I expect to use on a GTX 970/980?
I would also be curious to know about dual graphics cards if anyone has had any success with that. I have seen reports of it working fine but I don't know if I could use all the outputs on both cards.
EDIT: CPU is i7-2600K, motherboard is GA-Z68XP-UD3 if that makes any difference
