I had my Hackintosh running smoothly. On the rare occasion that it would crash, it would always boot up again no problem. But last week my system randomly crashed during a Spotlight search, causing a fatal error.
Now my boot will either (1) completely fail, or (2) hang at the following line:
GeForceSensors: still waiting for accelerator to start... GeForceSensors (pci1): [Error] unknown chipset, 0x124000a1
What's weird is I used to get this same message before, but it would always boot past it after about 30 seconds. Then I discovered that disabling Thunderbolt on my motherboard solved the GeForce issue, greatly reducing my boot time. However after this recent crash, the problem is back and prevents my system from booting at all (even with Thunderbolt disabled). Disabling NVIDIA drivers does not help.
In addition to my main system, I had three bootable clones. After the crash, two of the clones are now plagued with the same exact issue even though they were on separate hard drives. My original clone is the only one that still (sometimes) boots.
What is my best path moving forward? Any ideas on how to fix this issue or is a complete reinstall my only hope? I've tried everything I can thing of and am really at a loss here.
