Cannot boot with UseKernelCache=Yes

I updated my rock-solid Aspire 4752 laptop (finally) to Yosemite 10.10.4, thanks to a helpful soul on InsanelyMac who was the "guinea pig". :-)

I have most things up and working again, no problems, although I cannot boot with UseKernelCache=Yes. I am still using an old build of Kext Utility (2.5.7?) so that may be an issue. I am going to try and rebuild with Pandora, as others seem to think that works?!

If anyone can offer advice or pointers, please feel free to reply.

NOTE: Replying with "Update to Clover" will not get you any joy, as this laptops BIOS cannot see GUID partitioned hard drives as bootable :-(

I might experiment with Clover PBR install later, but I have NO EFI PARTITION! It will need to run from an EFI folder on the boot partition.

Thanks in advance for any help (NOTE2: I have no working FileNVRAM setup at present - that might help me - Chimera users, chime in here!)
