I'm trying to make a Unibeast flash drive from a niresh mavericks install inside of VirtualBox. However, everytime I insert a flash drive and have VirtualBox grab it, I get a kernel panic. This started after I wiped it from NTFS in Mac OS Journaled. When Pendrive is formatted to Fat32 or exFAT filesystem it works just fine in my virtualbox osx. The kernel panic only occurs when I format it to Mac os journuled in disk utility. The flash drive is a 8GB USB 2.0 drive plugged into a USB 2.0 port. I have tried using different pendrive and result is same.
Is there something wrong with usb kexts? What can I try?
