Hi,

I'm currently working on a hackintosh build and am a little confused about how to select a motherboard. Here's what I know for sure about my build:

At the moment I'm choosing between a H97 or a Z97 motherboard, and I don't know where to look. Documentation as to what does and doesn't work appears to be sporadic when it comes to individual mobos?

Here's my criteria:

  • mATX (I'd want a PCI Express x1 slot for wifi)

  • Z97/H97, I might want to overclock in the future

  • I need a hackintosh-compatible wifi card, and I am considering the TL-WDN4800 for its compatibility.

  • Working integrated ethernet - documentation on this is hard to come by

  • Working on-board audio - also hard to find online

  • I'd want to dual or even triple boot in the future but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I've been trying to research this for quite some time now but I've found motherboard specs to be relatively difficult to sort and sift through - which is why I'd be willing to hear from those much more experienced with hackintosh. Thoughts? Suggestions?
