I'm up and running 10.11.3 El Cap. When I initially installed I tried a few things to get sound to work and ultimately landed on the latest VoodooHDA. I have sound but I get static on every boot and have to manually adjust the slider in System Preferences to fix the issue.
I've been researching and it looks like AppleHDA is the best sound with fewest issues. Should I remove Voodoo and replace with AppleHDA, or is Voodoo salvagable? How do I go about removing Voodoo? It seems there is a AppleHDAdisable kext in s/l/e. Do I manually remove this and Voodoo? Do I manually add AppleHDA kext to s/l/e?
Really appreciate any insight to this.
