I would like to thank all the fantastic people at tonymacx86 for helping me out with this one. I would be nowhere without the forum posts and the effort that the Hackintosh devs put into making our little science projects possible. I really appreciate all of you. I put this machine together for my significant other. She needed something that could run Creative Cloud. Neither of us were windows people, with me leaning heavily on Arch, so this seemed to be the only logical conclusion.
The Good: this thing is so damn peppy, the only machine it can't compete with is my rig which I use for numerical simulation development. Audio works like a charm for this board after following the instructions at tonymacx86 here
The Bad: The wireless and bluetooth do not work, and from what I saw, they never will. That isn't all that big a deal, especially because I only bought the cpu and WD Blue drive new for this build, the rest were spares I cobbled together.
Overall: Incredibly happy with everything. Pictures and parts list available here
