Hi everyone,

First off thanks so much for your posts here, without them I would be sitting in front of a non functional machine without knowing what to do. So heres my situation. I decided to update to 10.11.4 yesterday. With my clover setup updates had been absolutely trouble free so far even when updating from yosemite to el capitan so I didnt bother to check if anyone was having isssues. Well after the first reboot I got the blocked sign or whatever its called. Reading the comments here after a lot of hassle I managed to fix it by mounting efi on windows and replacing OsxAptioFix with OsxAptioFix2 in the drivers section. I rebootet and everything went in smoothly and I was back in my system. For some reason I thought I would just do a restart to see if the boot was really smooth now. Well after reboot my machine got stuck at the bios screen. No matter how many times i shut it off and on I couldnt get past it and I couldn't get into the bios either, it didn't react to any button presses. I tried resetting the CMOS battery which did nothing. Eventually thanks to the dual bios on my Z97-ud5h motherboard I was able to switch to the backup bios, flash it to F8 modify the settings again and now I can boot back into osx without major trouble but probably still some tweaking needed..

However I still dont understand what the fuck happened?

So my question(s):

Am I correct in assuming that the bios failure should not be related to clover and was just bad luck?

Is there any way to fix a stuck bios like that because I feel a bit uneasy now knowing I dont have a backup bios anymore..
