I've been in a dilemma for the past few weeks trying to decide when to build my next workstation (currently running an i7 2600 that's starting to age, although gracefully), and what to put in it. Ideally I want an OC x99 6 core chip, an mATX mobo with USB 3.1, and an m.2 NVME boot drive.

All that essentially pointed to me just building a Windows machine since it seems like a huge pain to hackintosh. I tried doing a project on my windows partition recently and it just did NOT flow well for me. I know Windows 10 is a great step forward, but I found myself missing the simplicity of OSX the whole time.

That said. How do I move forward with this. It seems like the x99 platform is doable, but tough. I can't really find any mATX boards however. Also is an NVME m.2 boot drive ok for Clover? I ALSO am confused by all the different m.2 standards. I know this drive is NVME but does this motherboard allow it's full speed? Is this mobo even hackable?
