Longtime lurker, first time poster. TL:DR - Need Nic and Audio working.
System in question: * Dell T3500 * Xeon W3575 * Clover 10.10.5 *Nvida GT 610 - OOB, need to enable HDMI audio *Realtek 8169 PCI NIC - works with Realtek8169.kext from Multibeast installer (put in EFI folder) *Inateck USB 3.0 PCIe Card - works, no issue after enabling 3.0 from Clover Configurator *Startech PCIe SATA Card - Drives appear as intended internally after 3rd_Party_SATA.kext from Multibeast (put in EFI folder)
Goals: * HDMI Audio * Patched headphone audio via CloverALC if able to otherwise USB Audio * Network connectivity
I've been getting this machine set to take over my old server's duties. Originally, I followed these two threads and this website to figure out what I needed to get it up and running. I didn't add the DSDT mentioned in the forum post, due to it being separate from the first thread's config file.
I seemed to have no issues, getting the hack setup (I had used an Intel 82574L nic with patched kext to get started) and I got HDMI audio working with the HDMI Audio, the easy way thread. Tried CloverHDMI from Toleda, no joy.
I've pinpointed it to this: I used migration assistant to migrate my Time Machine backup of my old server (Multibeast) to push the User accounts and Applications only to the new sever as to not conflict with anything. Everything seemed to break after that point. I lost HDMI audio in the Sound preferences pane, and even when plugging in the USB audio device, it would recognize it, but I would get no audio.
When I swapped out the Intel nic for the Realtek it was not recognized in the system profiler, but it showed up in the network preference pane, but obviously not connected. I've had no trouble with this nic and the kext in all my other builds.
So, I'm scratching my head on where to begin...Did the migration assistant user files change the devices installed? Do I need to manually add each device ID back? Anything missed on Clover Configurator? BIOS audio is enabled.
Appreciate any advice, thanks guys!
