Basically, if I use my audio (for example; Listening to Guns n' Roses - Paradise City) and then pause it and put my hackintosh to sleep, upon resume I can still hear the song but the sound is faint and much quieter than it was before. This is a brand new installation of El Capitan, fresh install of the absolute basics through Multibeast and I got audio working by using Toleda's ALC audio script for Clover.
I reviewed previous forum posts, all of them pointed to an issue with dual booting Windows and OS X. I removed the Windows drive and reset my CMOS, but unfortunately that had no impact on the problem. My motherboard is the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 (with ALC 1150). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, I'd love to be able to enable sleep on my rig.
Edit: I tried switching my iMac version from 14,1 to 14,2 and that didn't seem to change anything.
