I need some general tips/principles for figuring out why my hackintosh doesn't wake from sleep. This happens intermittently; usually, when waking from sleep, audio works. I've got El Capitan installed and I use RehabMan's Codec Commander variant to get my audio working.

I usually leave my system on and we put it to sleep a lot (it's an HTPC). Once every two or three days I've come across this issue. One thought I had was that maybe there was different types of 'sleep' and that my system decided to use the one that audio can't come back from. Another thought was that maybe it was a memory issue...that as the system is left on, the amount of free RAM gets smaller and smaller until, when the system sleeps, it saves the RAM contents to disk and that's when we see this problem occurring.

Anyways, I'm looking for ways of trouble-shooting this AND if you have a solution I'd love to hear it.
