Hey guys,
I'm not looking to use Mac OS X as my main OS, that said there are Proprietary Apple Programs I would like to run (xcode mainly) and I would like to install OS X properly rather than try and emulate it.
So my Goal is to install OS X (whichever one is the current one) to a separate partition (it will be on a separate drive than my windows OS), so that whenever I want to use those programs I can just boot up my Mac partition. Here's a link to my current Hard Drive setup, I plan to make a partition of about 500GB from the video drive there to install OS X.
At first I thought all I would have to do is install it to the partition and poof I'm ready to go, but if I'm understanding what I've been reading so far things can get wonky with how both Operating Systems need things like the BIOS to be set a specific way. Does that cause conflict for being able to dual boot? I'm willing to put in a good amount of hours to get this to work but I don't want to mess around too much with BIOS settings, and I definitely don't want to have to do it every time I want to switch OS.
If anyone can give some clarification (I'm currently running Windows 10 and want to keep that as my main OS), on how reasonable what I'm looking to do is I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm still doing my own research so any suggestions, guides that cover this, alternatives would be very helpful.
Here are my specs (ignore prices it's already built just don't know how to link without them):
