Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd chime in with my (mostly) successful (so far) build! I also want to pass on my thanks to the many people in the community who have contributed their knowledge, experience and ability to make this kind of thing possible.
I've done this as a Clover-only build to keep things as minimal as I can (and so I understand what's happening).
Hardware below (I don't have the video card yet, I'm waiting to see what my options are in a month once the new releases have settled in and prices have adjusted... also the monitor is still shipping, I'm using my TV temporarily.)

What works:
- 10.11.5 - see this thread)
- RAM (with XMP overclocking)
- CPU (seemed to work OOB but I added the SSDT for good measure)
HD 530 graphics with full acceleration (with two Display config.plist patches detailed in this thread)
HDMI out
TRIM enabled with 'sudo trimforce enable'
USB3 (with chrisblow's USB map SSDT from earlier in this thread and the USB port limit patch set to 22)
Sound (front and rear panels) with this guide
iTunes, App Store, iCloud
Shutdown
HWSensors app
What doesn't work/glitches:
Sleep with Intel HD 530 graphics - computer sleeps and wakes but display won't come back on - using display sleep only for now (which works fine). Also if display turns off for whatever reason, it won't get a display signal when you turn it back on, forcing you to restart.
I'm getting multiple Clover UEFI boot entries. I've removed them manually but they keep coming back!
USB3 and all the ports are working, but connected devices are all appearing in the system as internal for some reason. Also the USB tree doesn't look quite right... like it's showing it has the specs of one of the USB drives that's attached.
I'm not too worried about the sleep issue as it sounds like that will be resolved if I get an Nvidia card.
The other two are not show-stoppers either, but I'd like to resolve them if I can. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!
