My dad picked up an old iMac G3 from someone he knew and it's got a 350 MHz processor and a slot loading CD drive in the front. I'm not very savvy when it comes to macs, but I've been wanting to possibly turn my PC into a hackintosh because I'd like to get to know the system and see what it has to offer. My system is as follows: Intel Core i5-4460 Asrock h97m-ITX/ac motherboard 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM EVGA GTX 760 SC Samsung 850 EVO SSD - 120 GB
From what I've read, these parts are compatible, but I'd like to get more feedback. Also, with the iMac, I have no install media or anything. Just a G3 iMac with 10.3.2. And from what I've read, this system can't go higher than Panther due to processor compatibility with newer versions. Would it be possible to use this system to make my PC a hackintosh?
