I have finally scrounged up enough cash to buy a better graphics card for my early 2008 Mac Pro. I noticed that I needed a 1 x 8 PCI-E cable for the card I am looking at (already have a 1 x 6 set up), and I couldn't find a slot for the cable that is on the motherboard. I wanted to make sure that my Logic board wouldn't melt under the stress of the card if I bought a converter:(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0045Q8F84/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1[1] ) Or if there was a card with dual 6 pin cables that had the same performance? Any help is appreciated! Link to card: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42768kr[2]
