My sister wants me to help her build a hackintosh. Ive never done one before but they don't seem too difficult as long as you pick the right hardware. She doesn't want to spend more then $300. I have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse so we don't need that. Also I have an extra GTS 450, it sounds like they might cause problems so im not sure if we should use it or not. Part of my problem is deciding on the CPU and motherboard (I use AMD for my builds so im new to intel), should I buy the new socket and get a Pentium or Celeron, or should I buy a Socket 1156 off ebay and get an i5? Or maybe somewhere in between? She told me that she wants to use it for iMovie and maybe some lite gaming, so I have no idea how powerful it needs to be. Thanks for any and all help you can give!
