I recently hackintoshed a PC Laptop (Sony Vaio SVE14a27cxh if that helps) and most things work well with minimal tweaking, however, I can't get my USB audio interface (Steinberg CI1) to work. I installed the same driver as on my macbook air also running 10.9.4 which it works perfectly with. However, the hackbook only sees it if it is plugged in before boot (but it doesn't show up in system prefs/audio midi + in system info it says current: unknown(device has not been configured)), and will not detect it if I plug it in after booting. I've tried different USB ports after booting to no avail.
I haven't installed any audio kexts through multibeast because I figured if I'm using external sound it's unnecessary - is that correct? If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this (it's the last setup problem I have before I can fully use my hackintosh) that would be greatly appreciated. This is my first hackintosh so I apologize if I have overlooked anything obvious :).
