I know this has been discussed quite a bit, but being that this is my first hackintosh that I just built last night, I'm feeling pretty lost in some of the terminology, etc that people are using to discuss various fixes and patches.
I'm getting the "An error occurred during activation. Try again." error message when loading messages.app. Other iCloud stuff works fine, however. I was able to figure out that it seems my NVRAM is not working, but I can't seem to find anything that talks about getting it working, or a workaround for it. I'm using the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H motherboard.
I was reading this post about using Chameleon Wizard to edit the serial number and such, but I'm using Clover. I did find and install Clover Configurator and see similar options, but at a loss of how to apply the new serial number and all of that.
Yes I've seen the guide prominently displayed over at tonymacx86, but there's a ton of jargon speak that goes over my head this early in my hackintoshing days. If someone is able to provide more explicit info on what I need to try, I'd greatly appreciate it.
