Help installing Niresh 10.10.1

I'm following this guide from Niresh's site:

I keep getting stuck at "PCI Configuration Begin". I have a Gigabyte board, so I tried the flag it suggested, but it didn't work. The other flags listed there don't either. They all just cause a forced reboot.

The arguments I'm entering are:

PCIRootUID=1 /amd64 -v

I know AMD doesn't get much love around here, but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask. Has anybody had any success with this?
