Thought I'd group my questions into one post. Any help is appreciated!

Manual Fan Control - I have a 240mm radiator, that is cooled by two fans. The fans are connected to my CPU_FAN slot on my Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H. I know manual fan control is limited in OS X, and must be set in BIOS. Overall, they throttle up and down pretty well based on CPU load. However, I was messing around with HWMonitor last night, and when I hover my mouse over the fan temp, it gives me the option to turn on manual fan control. I didn't think it would work, but if I set the fan speed slower, it actually dropped down. However, trying to set it higher didn't. Is there any way to be able to manually increase the PWM fans in OS X? When I overclock, I notice my fans never hit max RPM's, and it would be nice if I could, just to see what my max temps are during load and if my fans have enough static pressure for my rad.

Samsung EVO - Anyone else try using the 840 EVO with BlackMagic app to test the speed? My Samsung 830 used to get like 400's for read and write. My 840 starts off at 500/500, then the write speed drops to like 275 and stays there. Wondering if I got a bad unit. I upgraded the firmware which supposedly fixed slow read speeds on some models, but my issue was always write speed. The temps get kinda high too considering it's an SSD. Just wondering if it's worth trying to get a warranty replacement. Thanks!
