Hi guys, I am building my first PC for Hackintosh. I want to make this system a dual-boot OS 10.11 and hopefully any update that comes out, and Windows 8/10 system. Windows 10/8 for gaming on windows-only games like GTA V, Payday 2, Space Engineers, Fallout 4, Arma 3, Cities Skylines, Alien Isolation, new VR games, and stuff like that, and OS X for everything else. I want this system to be as compatible with Hackintosh/OS X as possible, so it will be relatively quick and easy to set up with everything working.
I have assembled two builds. One of them is an i5 4690k, 8gb ram, 650w power supply, z97, and 980Ti. The other one is exactly the same build, just without a 980ti included. See my current computer is falling apart fast, and I only have around 650 canadian dollars available to spend at the moment. So I thought it would be a better idea to buy the PC without the GPU so I could just use the integrated graphics and not play as many games until I saved up enough money for a 980Ti, to add later on down the road.
Also, I have a couple questions. If i were to buy this build without the 980ti, would adding a new GPU to a hackintosh after setting it up mess it up and require a reinstall of OS X? Also, would I have to set everything back up all over again if I updated my BIOS, or a driver, or updated OS X? I think I remember reading somewhere that software updates on Hackintosh are very very difficult because they break almost everything!
Also I already own storage, and do not need to buy more.
