I installed El Capitan in order to use Photos to create a slideshow with its nifty "Vintage Photos" effect. Unfortunately most of the transition effects like "Vintage Photos" or "Ken Burns" do not work at all in my VirtualBox-based install. It just shows an empty preview area, and clicking the "play" button just shows a black screen with no content except the playback controls. Exporting to video doesn't work either - I just get a video with a solid black image and the default music.
I'm guessing it's some sort of graphics issue related to acceleration on real hardware. I've tried it with 3D acceleration enabled and disabled in VirtualBox to no avail.
Any ideas?
