Greetings fellow hackintoshers.
I am 18 in Australia. My father is super Mac-centric. He introduced me to macs and I've been using them since i was 4. I currently have a 5 year old iMac, and I've just finished school. I really really want to play games on the windows side, while being productive on the Mac side, running stuff like Final Cut X and After Effects as well as Lightroom, lots of web stuff and VMs.
What are some really simple, undeniable arguments I can present to try to convince him to support me on this.
He thinks gaming is pointless and a waste of time, and he said that my current iMac is more than enough. Honestly, I'm super tired of being handed 5 year old shit he doesn't need anymore. It lags on basic photo editing (RAW, 18mp pictures) and renders video like a snail.
I've done a whole slew of research over the last month or two and have a potential build ready (4790k, GTX 970, 16GB RAM), and I'm really eager to start building.
